Phone vibration motor oil

The tiny motor that makes your phone vibrate contains microscopic amounts of specialized synthetic oil that must work perfectly across temperatures from freezing winter pockets to hot summer cars. This oil needs to last the entire lifespan of the phone, typically 5-7 years, without any maintenance or refilling. Engineers choose oils with extremely stable molecules that won't evaporate, leak, or break down, since there's no way to service these sealed motors once the phone is assembled. The same technology is now used in smartwatches, fitness trackers, and game controllers.
