Electric toothbrush lubrication

Electric toothbrush lubrication
Electric toothbrushes use special waterproof grease that must survive constant exposure to water and toothpaste residue. The motor shaft seal requires a lubricant that won't wash away or degrade from moisture, typically a silicone-based grease. This grease must remain stable through thousands of vibrations per minute while maintaining a watertight seal. When this lubricant fails, water enters the motor housing, which is why old electric toothbrushes often die from corrosion rather than motor failure.
