Tire mounting lubricant

Tire mounting lubricant
When mechanics mount tires onto wheel rims, they use special water-based lubricants to help the tire bead slide over the rim edge. Without this slippery soap, the rubber would stick and resist installation, making it nearly impossible to seat the tire properly. These lubricants dry quickly and don't interfere with the airtight seal between tire and rim. Some DIY enthusiasts use diluted dish soap in a pinch, though professional products work better and evaporate cleanly.
