Shoe factory lubricants

Shoe factory lubricants
During shoe manufacturing, specialized lubricating oils are applied to leather to make it temporarily more pliable for stretching over molds called "lasts." These oils help prevent the leather from cracking during the shaping process and later evaporate or absorb into the material. Modern athletic shoe factories also use mold-release lubricants to help silicone and foam components separate cleanly from their production molds. This lubrication step is crucial for maintaining the shoe's intended shape and preventing defects.
